Conversation therapy

Conversation therapy is a broad term, covers all the psychological treatments that involve people talked to a therapist about the problems they face.

We may have heard about the sessions, counseling, or cognitive behavioral therapy, or psychotherapy; they are all different types of conversation therapy, but they share some public appearances.

One of those may be better than others for certain types of cases and problems; and these different types of treatment suitable for the diversity of people conversation; it may be a particular type better than others for a particular person with a particular situation.

 In order to get the person to help you decide on the type of treatment best suited to him, he has to talk to the doctor about the types of treatment available conversation (and to tell the doctor if you prefer a certain type of them). The following is a brief description of each type, and how they can be useful.

 Counseling session

This is probably most famous for the treatment of conversation, and most easily and readily available when the doctor.

Advice period usually consists of 6 to 12 sessions, each session time extends to one hour, the person talking in secret to the author advice on how he felt about himself and his situation. The provider of advice with the support person and give practical advice.

CBT

 The person, in this type of treatment, set goals with a therapist, and performs tasks between therapy sessions. Involving a single course of treatment is usually 6 to 15 sessions, where each session lasts about one hour.

As is the case in the treatment counseling, CBT deals with the current situation more than dealing with the events suffered by the person in the past or in childhood.

 A lot of research done on cognitive behavioral therapy; there appeared to be effective in a variety of psychological problems. That does not mean it is better than other types of therapy, but simply because those types probably have not been studied to the extent required.

CBT can be useful, in particular, in the following cases:

    
Depression.
     Anxiety.
     Panic attacks.
     Types of phobias.
     Obsessive-compulsive disorder.
     Following the intensity of the trauma disorder.
     Some disturbances in eating, especially bulimia or insatiable

There are self-help books and software used concepts of cognitive behavioral therapy to help the person overcome their common problems, such as depression, for example.

Psychotherapy

Contrary to what it is like in counseling and cognitive-behavioral therapy, the psychological therapy involves talking more about the past on the person, which helped him to overcome the problems they are facing in the present. This type of therapy tends to keep a longer period of cognitive behavioral therapy and counseling; and time of the meeting is one hour, and sessions can last a year or more

There are different types of psychotherapy, but they are all designed to help the person understand more about himself and improve his relations, and to get more experience in life. It can psychotherapy that is especially useful in helping people who suffer from chronic or recurring problems, to find the underlying cause of the difficulties they face.

There is some evidence that psychotherapy can be helpful in depression and some eating disorders.

Family Therapy

 Ideally, it should be that both spouses attend weekly sessions for an hour in each session; however, it can remain useful even if only one spouse attended.

Group therapy

 The wizard will meet in this type of treatment with 8 to 12 people together at the same time. It is a useful tool for people who share the same problem, to obtain support and advice from each other.
